Allan Hancock College
I am currently on the Board of the Allan Hancock Foundation (the “Foundation”). From 2003 to 2012 I was three term board of director member of the Foundation, including being a two term President of said board. From 2010 to 2015 I was on the College’s Bond Oversight Committee and for 2 years was the chair of said Committee. I am also an instructor for the College on Estate Planning. I have taught said course since 2007.
Marian Regional Medical Center Foundation ®
I have been on the Board of Directors of said Foundation since 2017 and in 2019 became the Treasurer and Secretary of said board. The Foundation’s purpose is to provide financial support to Santa Maria’s hospital, namely Marian Regional Medical Center.
Habitat for Humanity of Northern Santa Barbara County (“Habitat”)
I served on the Habitat Board of Directors from 2003 to 2008 and 2012 and 2014, including being a two term President. I am currently on the advisory Board to said organization. Habitat’s goal is to provide quality housing to low income families.
Santa Barbara Foundation
I was a Santa Maria affiliate member of the Santa Barbara Foundation from 2004 to 2009. The Santa Barbara Foundation was established in 1928 and is a partner of philanthropy and a critical supporter of community organizations and efforts throughout Santa Barbara County.
Orcutt United Soccer league
I have been a soccer coach for the Orcutt United Soccer League from 2015 to the present.
St. Joseph High School (“St. Joe’s”)
I served on the Advisory Board for St. Joe’s from 2010 to 2015. The High School is devoted to help its students image Christ in mind, heart, body and soul. I am also a St. Joe’s alumni.
Women’s Economic Venturer (“WEV”)
I have been a lecturer for WEV from 2008 to the present. I lecture to individuals who are either starting or have a small business on business formation and contracts.
St. Louis de Montfort Church (“St. Louis”)
I was a Eucharistic Minister from 2003 to 2009. I was also a religious education teacher from 2002 to 2008. From 2003 to 2009 I was a member of St. Louis Parish Pastoral Council. I was a live radio host for a Catholic radio program from 2003 to 2014.
St. John Neumann Church (“St. John’s”)
I was Confirmation instructor from 2004 to 2009. From 2007 to 2009 I was a religious education teacher.
Latino Business Community Council (“LBCC”)
I was a board member of LBCC from 2007 to 2008. The organization was designed to help businesses thrive and help community organization improve the quality of life for local residents.
St. Mary of the Assumption Church (“St. Mary’s”)
I was a member of St. Mary’s financial council from 1999 to 2002. St. Mary’s is the oldest Catholic Church established in the Santa Maria Valley. I am also an alumni of St. Mary’s.
